Business Administration, M.B.A.

The MBA curriculum is designed to provide working adults with the skills, knowledge and experience they need to advance into leadership roles in their companies and communities. A mix of accounting, finance, marketing, information systems, economics, ethics and leadership courses will challenge students to synthesize and integrate their learning into the real-world business environment. This kind of practical application of learning is a hallmark of adult education and provides valuable benefits to both the individual student and the business community. The MBA program will be delivered in six, 8-week sessions each year. Students who take continuous classes can graduate in 2 years if they have an undergraduate degree in business. The program will offer a mix of classroom-based, internet-based and weekend immersion classes, providing flexibility and varied learning experiences.

The minimum criteria for entry in the MBA program:

  1. An undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
  2. An undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  3. Be at least age 25
  4. A minimum of 3 years of professional leadership/management experience
  5. Time to devote to your coursework; in an accelerated program, time spent outside of class is considerable.

The first step is to meet with an admissions counselor who will explain the program, its format and answer any questions you may have.

Strategic Leadership, M.S.L.

The MSL is a degree that prepares students to assume leadership roles and to effect organizational change. A strong interdisciplinary curriculum provides course work in leadership development, organizational change, and strategic planning. The degree requirements culminate in a master's project in which students examine an organization, applying theory to organizational practice and leadership.  Students will concentrate in either Organizational Development or Project Management within the program, giving them additional depth in one of these areas.  Ethical and sound decision-making and financial analysis are developed throughout the curriculum, and service and leadership to the larger community are considered features of professional leadership development. The degree prepares learners to assume an increasing responsibility within organizations and to lead and manage change.

Graduates with an MSL will work in a variety of fields and sectors, including business, non-profit organizations, and government agencies.
