Nonprofit Resource Network

The Nonprofit Resource Network (NRN) assists community benefit organizations in becoming more effective, efficient and financially stable.

In Spring 2012, the NRN is offering its two part Project Management Nonprofit Practicum at the Dixon University Center. These workshops, taught by certified Project Manager Laura Burford, will assist any nonprofit manager to better plan and organized for special events, writing proposals and embark on new campaigns.  No matter your title or position, you will manage a project at some point in your career and these workshops will better prepare you to do so.

During this training, you will learn about project management tools, including a number of templates, and practice critical techniques. Designed to allow nonprofit staff the ability to practice day-to-day application, you will be able to start your project "right" and to successfully complete it, and you will walk away from these classes with at least nine templates that can be tailored to your organization!

Module 1: Initiating, Planning and Implementing

Module 2: Monitoring, Evaluating and Celebrating

The full line of services provided by the NRN includes:

  • Customized training to specific nonprofit organizations
  • Open-enrollment workshops for nonprofit employees and volunteers
  • Customized training for nonprofit organizations
  • Peer growth circles
  • Online resources
