Nonprofit Resource Network

The Nonprofit Resource Network (NRN) assists community benefit organizations in becoming more effective, efficient and financially stable.

In Fall 2011, the NRN is offering its Essentials of Fundraising Series at the Dixon University Center.  These workshops, offered in partnership with the Association of Fundraising Professionals introduce basic philanthropic concepts and the fundamental structure of a development program.  Through the series, participants learn about giving policies, write a case for support, discuss annual giving, explore grant writing techniques and learn about engaging agency boards in fundraising activities.

  • Module 1: Starting and Growing a Development Program
  • Module 2: Writing Your Case for Support
  • Module 3: Annual Giving
  • Module 4: Corporate and Foundation Grant Seeking
  • Module 5: Cultivating Board and Volunteers for Fundraising

Note: We highly recommend that you enroll in Module 1: Starting and Growing a Development Program prior to taking any of the subsequent modules (Modules 2-5) as it outlines best practices for an integrated development program and how the various components fit together.

In addition, the NRN is accepting applications for individuals interested in joining a Peer Growth Circle in Dauphin County.

The full line of services provided by the NRN includes:

  • Customized training to specific nonprofit organizations
  • Open-enrollment workshops for nonprofit employees and volunteers
  • Customized training for nonprofit organizations
  • Peer growth circles
  • Online resources
