Dixon University Center Emergency
& Severe Weather Procedures
Dixon University Center strives to offer services as scheduled without interruption. Only on occasions when it becomes impossible to maintain the safety of students, faculty and guests of the Dixon University Center will a partial or full day closing be authorized.
For evening classes we will make every attempt to announce a closing by 1:00 pm the day of the class. For Saturday classes we will make every attempt to announce a closing by 4:00 pm Friday afternoon. Dixon University Center will follow the jurisdiction of the Governor in relation to daytime closings. If Dixon University Center closes during the day then all evening classes will be cancelled as well.
In the event of a closing, Dixon University Center will notify all institutions that offer classes on site. Institutions will be responsible for notifying students and faculty. Dixon University Center will also publish closings on the home page of this site, in the form of a message on 717-720-4080, and on local radio and TV stations.
